Cooking Class for the Health Conscious

This live-virtual cooking class features trained chefs offering a variety of healthy, gourmet menus. Learn food preparation techniques and delicious recipes while watching and cooking along with the chef! Ms. Dawkins initially developed Ratatouille in Harlem to promote healthy eating within the dance community and, spurred by the pandemic, she made it available to other interested groups, including but not limited to, the LINKs Inc. and Circle-Lets of Philadelphia.

Our Ratatouille in Harlem program is designed to pair perfectly with our physical wellness program.

Guest Chef: Janell Dixon

Chef Janell Dixon comes from a family of Chefs. She was born a foodie with a discriminating palate, and an eye for exquisite plating. Like many chefs, she got her start in the kitchen with her mother and grandmother. With encouragement from her Pastry Chef sister, she graduated with honors from L’Academie de Cuisine. She has had the honor or working with renowned Chefs like Doris Lacoste, Virginia Willis, Tracy O’Grady, Carla Hall, and Elizabeth Faulkner.
